Long-range comlinks were a more advanced model of comlink with a range greater than that of normal comlinks. Some were as large as backpack-sized, and allowed a user to communicate with a starship within the same star system.

During the Command Phase, you may be issued orders as though you are in range of the nominated commander.

This card has been adjusted in Rules Reference 1.4 from May 27th, 2019. It now reads:
During the Command Phase, you can be issued orders by friendly commander or operative units regardless of range.
