Keywords - an Overview[]
- There are two types of keywords: unit keywords and weapon keywords.
- A unit keyword is an inherent ability of a unit and it is presented on a unit’s card or added to a unit by an upgrade card. Some are always active (can be descrbied as passive). Some require the unit to take an action, either as a card action or a free card action, or are triggered by the unit doing some other action.
- A weapon keyword is an inherent ability of a weapon and is presented as part of a weapon on either a unit’s card or an upgrade card. Generally, these apply when that weapon is being added to an attack pool.
- An upgrade keyword is on upgrade cards that don't apply to a weapon, but only apply to that particular mini (Leader or Non-combatant, for example). Generally, these confer some exemption to the normal rules that pertain to that particular mini.
- Each unit keyword provides a unit with an ability, including the timing of when the ability is used as well as the effect of the ability.
- Each weapon keyword adds an ability to the attack pool in which it is included.
- The front of each unit card provides reminder text of each of that unit’s keywords. The back of each unit card provides reminder text for each of that unit’s weapon keywords.
- The reminder text is not an exhaustive description of the rules for a keyword. Rather, it is there to help players remember how and when to resolve each keyword. Remember that if a rules update or errata has changed a keyword, the reminder text may no longer be valid. If a player has questions about how a keyword works, that player should refer to that keyword’s glossary entry

Low Profile (Unit Keyword)[]
While defending against an attack, if a unit with the low profile keyword has cover, cancel one additional hit result during the Apply Cover step. Marksman (Unit Keyword)[]
After converting attack surges, you can spend aim tokens to improve your dice results. For 1 aim, change one blank to a hit, or one hit to a crit, or spend 2 aims to make one blank into a critical hit. Spending aim tokens in this way does not allow you to also reroll the dice, but you can spend any number of aim tokens to improve any number of dice results.Examples: Cassian Andor; Imperial Special Forces
Maskashi Mastery (Unit Keyword)[]

You may transport X friendly trooper (non-creature) units. Generally, the transported unit can still be issued orders, be activated and make actions, gain and spend tokens, make attacks, and be attacked. A unit in an open transport uses the base of the vehicle for all game effects involving range and Line of Sight. A unit in an open transport can make melee attacks (and be attacked in melee) by an enemy unit in base contact with the transporting vehicle, but neither troopers are considered engaged. Units in open transports are considered to have heavy cover.

Transport X: Closed (Unit Keyword)[]
You may transport X friendly trooper (non-creature) units. Generally, the transported unit can still be issued orders, but when it activates, it rallies and may not perform any actions other than Disembark. It can gain, but not spend, tokens. It cannot make attacks or be targeted by them. If the transporting vehicle is defeated, the transported unit leader is placed in base contact with the vehicle before it is removed from the table, and then the unit is cohered as normal. The unit also gains 1 suppression token and suffers 1 wound.
